Faith in Action: Obedience in Our Walk of Faith

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that each of you is doing well by His grace and mercy.

We wanted to take this opportunity to share the theme the Lord has placed on our hearts for the year 2025, along with a prayer guide we humbly ask everyone to incorporate into their regular times of prayer.

IHG Theme for 2025

Faith in Action: Obedience in Our Walk of Faith

This theme calls us not only to profess our faith, but to actively live it out through obedience—allowing our faith to be evident in our daily lives, decisions, and relationships.

Scripture reminds us of this call:

“Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves… Do you not yourselves realize and know… that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are disapproved on trial and rejected?” - 2 Corinthians 13:5 (AMPC)

Through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations. - Romans 1:5 (ESV)

But someone will say, You say you have faith, and I have good works. Now you show me your faith apart from any good works, if you can, and I by good works of obedience will show you my faith. - James 2:18 (AMPC)

These passages remind us that genuine faith is inseparable from obedience. Faith that lives is faith that acts.

Additionally, in Romans 12:9–17, we find a powerful blueprint for the life of a believer—practical, Christ-centered guidance for those who desire to continually examine and amend their ways as they grow in spiritual maturity.

By God’s grace, we prayerfully commit to focusing on these truths throughout 2025, asking the Holy Spirit to transform our faith into visible action for His glory.

Let us stand together, united in faith, obedience, and love, as we seek the Lord’s direction for the year ahead.

In His mercy and in His service,
For His glory alone.
