Tagore Netala

Tagore Netala

Elder

Tagore Netala was born into a warm loving family and regularly attended church up to and throughout his years in high school.

"In India I was taught that GOD of the Bible was the only true God, but never embraced Him personally. To get some direction in life I often considered getting serious with God. Time after time however, I procrastinated with that important decision. Even with a move to the US and getting married, a feeling of emptiness followed me. In the same year we were married my wife and I were introduced to a church near our home. There a pastor helped me understand that I was separated from God because of insistence on living life my way, not God's way. He went on to explain that Jesus has paid my penalty by dying on the cross for me. Furthermore, if I trusted in Jesus' death to pay my penalty, I could begin a relationship with God and have an assurance of life with Christ after my death. I prayed asking Christ to come into my life and take over because I wasn't doing a very good job with it myself."
"As a result of the Bible study, I made a whole new commitment to Christ. The inner peace that I was striving for so desperately was finally there. But the greatest thing of all is that I know for certain that I have a personal relationship with God through Christ and have eternal life."
